The course follows a highly practical, hands-on approach. Participants experience AI and digital tools as learners first, and then reflect as educators.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand key concepts of AI, digital literacy and their relevance for education
  • Navigate and critically evaluate AI-powered tools for teaching and learning
  • Integrate AI tools in lesson preparation, differentiation and assessment
  • Support students in becoming critical and responsible AI users
  • Recognise ethical issues (bias, privacy, transparency) related to AI in education
  • Design AI-enhanced learning activities aligned with curriculum goals
  • Develop a realistic personal strategy for AI integration in their own context

Day 1 – AI and digital literacy: foundations

  • Welcome, introductions, expectations and course overview
  • Mapping participants’ digital and AI practices in their schools
  • What is AI? What is digital literacy? Key concepts and myths
  • Exploring the digital and AI competence frameworks for educators
  • Reflection: challenges and opportunities for our learners

Day 2 – AI tools for teachers’ daily work

  • AI for lesson planning, content adaptation and differentiation
  • Using AI to create quizzes, worksheets and rubrics
  • Hands-on labs with selected tools (text, image, language support)
  • Peer sharing: comparing tools and good practices
  • Reflection journal: what can I realistically use next month?

Day 3 – AI for student engagement and inquiry

  • Designing AI-enhanced learning activities (inquiry, projects, collaboration)
  • Supporting critical thinking and creativity with AI
  • Classroom scenarios: problem-solving, debates, simulations
  • Group work: drafting an AI-enhanced mini-unit
  • Peer review and feedback rounds

Day 4 – Ethics, safety and digital responsibility

  • Risks and limitations of AI (accuracy, bias, data protection)
  • Transparency and responsible use with students
  • Co-creating classroom guidelines for AI and digital tools
  • Case studies and role-plays: “What would you do if…?”
  • Updating the mini-units with an ethical and safe-use lens

Day 5 – From experiment to practice: designing your AI roadmap

  • Finalising AI-enhanced lesson or project plans
  • Micro-presentations and peer feedback
  • Building a school-level vision: small steps, realistic milestones
  • Personal AI integration roadmap for the next 6–12 months
  • Reflection circle: key insights and commitments

Day 6 – Consolidation, networking and future collaboration

  • Light recap quiz and showcase of participants’ best ideas
  • Clinic session: individual questions, troubleshooting, tool comparisons
  • Planning potential Erasmus+ follow-up projects and partnerships
  • Course evaluation, personal reflection and next steps
  • Awarding of Certificates of Attendance and informal networking
