1. Objectives and Commitment

Open Up is committed to promoting gender equality, diversity, and inclusion across all its activities. This Gender Equality Plan outlines our strategy to foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all, regardless of gender identity or expression.

2. Dedicated Resources

– Appointment of a Gender Equality Officer responsible for coordinating and monitoring the GEP.
– Allocation of internal time and administrative support to implement actions and evaluations.

3. Data Collection and Monitoring

– Annual collection of sex-disaggregated data on staff, trainers, and learners.
– Monitoring of recruitment, participation, leadership, and career development.
– Internal reporting and indicator tracking to evaluate progress.

4. Awareness and Training

– Organization of annual training sessions on gender equality and unconscious bias.
– Integration of gender awareness modules in staff onboarding and project management processes.

   – Promotion of flexible work arrangements.
   – Respectful and inclusive working environment.

   2. Gender Balance in Leadership & Decision-Making
      – Encouraging equal gender representation in leadership roles and project teams.

   3. Gender Equality in Recruitment & Career Progression
      – Transparent selection criteria.
      – Equal access to training and development opportunities.

   4. Gender Dimension in Research & Educational Content
      – Mainstreaming gender analysis where relevant in project design and educational material.

   5. Prevention of Gender-Based Violence and Harassment
      – Clear zero-tolerance policy.
      – Safe, confidential procedures for reporting and addressing incidents.

6. Evaluation and Review

– The GEP will be reviewed annually.
– Updated measures will be proposed based on internal data and stakeholder feedback.
