MrsMaria Sabani is a dedicated researcher and educator specializing in post-quantum cryptography. She holds multiple academic degrees, including a PhD from the University of Thessaly in Digital Systems and a master’s degree in Theoretical Mathematics from the Hellenic Open University. She is currently pursuing a postdoctoral degree in post-quantum cryptography and cryptanalysis at the University of Thessaly. Sabani has extensive teaching experience, serving as a university professor of mathematics at the University of Thessaly and Aegean College. She has also worked as a high school mathematics teacher for over a decade.
In her roles, she designs and delivers courses on linear algebra, cryptography, and quantum computing. She is the head of the MSc Cybersecurity program at Aegean College and teaches courses on cryptography, applied cryptography, and blockchain technology. Sabani is an active member of QGreece and the Hellenic Mathematical Society, and she participates in numerous conferences and seminars on topics such as quantum computing and mathematics education. She is also the co-author of several publications and a book titled “Quantum Computing: From Theory to Practice
